Clustered Dock

Clustered Dock

Clustered Dock can be identified by its more consistent width along the leaf compared to Broad-leaved Dock, which is thicker at the base of the leaf and becomes slightly narrower towards the tip.

It’s recommended to use leaves closer to the base of the plant when identifying dock species, as higher leaves aren’t always a distinctive shape.

Clustered dock is a perennial weed, known to survive in regularly mown lawns by producing small leaves.

Control

The active ingredients triclopyr and picloram in a mix (Victory Gold, Triumph Gold, Tordon Gold or Conquest) will provide good control. This is best applied during spring when the plant is actively growing.
